Norman Lee Carter, age 91, passed away Friday, April 10, 2020 in Warren, AR. He was born June 20, 1928 in Warren, AR to the late George Issac Carter and Nan Walker Carter. He was a retired Boilermaker, a Baptist and served in the US Airforce during the Korean War.
Preceding him in death was his wife; Sara Louise Senn Carter whom he married on April 8, 1950. One son; Norman Lee Carter, Jr., one daughter; Nancy Burkhart, five brothers; Gordon Carter, Claude Carter, Jimmy Carter, Asa Carter and Harvey Carter, three sisters; Alice Jeffers, Carrie McGhee and Betty Woodard, and one granddaughter; Jennifer Clanton.
He is survived by four daughters; Shelia Gorman of Warren, AR, Dianne Reeves of Warren, AR, Carolyn Reyes and husband Juan of Warren, AR and Sammi Jo Warren of Bangor, ME, seven grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren.
Graveside service 2:00 p.m. Monday, April 13, 2020 at Oakland Cemetery with Bro. Michael Griffith and Bro. Chris Barnes officiating. Active pallbearers were Roger Gorman, Jr., Randy Gorman, Sr., Randy Gorman, Jr., Justin Gorman, Juan Reyes and Jeremy Turner. Honorary pallbearers were Mike Lathan, Sam Russell, Danny Perry and Dr. Kerry Pennington. Arrangements were by Frazer’s Funeral Home.
