Lucy Carter, age 73, of Warren, Arkansas died Monday, March 1, at Wagnon Place Nursing Home. She was born May 18, 1930 in Bradley County, Arkansas a daughter of the late Carl A Cooper and Rhoda Cassell Parnell Cooper. She was a homemaker, a retired cafeteria manger for Warren High School and a member of Calvary Baptist Church. Surviving is her husband Herbert Carter whom she married on August 4, 1948; 3 daughters Brenda Welch and spouse Bill, Smackover, Ark., Debbie Pearce and spouse Roger, Russellville, Ark. and Nita Green and spouse Danny, Warren, Ark.; 2 sisters Betty Ragar and Dorothy Pennington both of Warren, Ark.; 11 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren; a son in law Larry Harrelson, Jacksonville, Tex. She was also preceded in death by a daughter Donna Harrelson; 2 brothers Rev. Dr. Harold Cooper and Hugh Cooper; 2 sisters Catherine Harrod and Pauline Burks. Funeral services were 1:30 pm Thursday, March 4, at Frazer's Chapel with Rev. Tee. Don White, Rev. Roger Pearce, Rev. Paul Martin and Rev. Glenn Alston officiating. Janice Sullivan was pianist and special music was provided by the Calvary Baptist Church Ensemble. Burial was in Moseley Cemetery by Frazer's Funeral Home. Active pallbearers were Chris Harrelson, Kevin Harrelson, Larry Harrelson, Carter Pearce, Jonathan Pearce and Paul Outlaw. Honorary pallbearers were Deacons of Calvary Baptist Church. Memorials preferred to Calvary Baptist Church or Central Baptist College.
