James Darrell Scott, 81, of Garfield died Thursday, April 23 at Legacy Hospice in Bentonville.

He was born September 1, 1933 in Garfield to Clarence James Scott and Elsie Bell Stephens Scott. He married Etta Louise Stover on May 9 1957. He spent twenty years with the Benton County Road Dept. and twenty years driving a truck for Willis Shaw. He was a Rogers Police Officer of eight years and he served the US Army as a combat engineer in Korea. He loved to hunt, fish, was an avid foxhunter, enjoyed talking to people and was a member of New Prospect Church in Garfield. He is preceded in death by his parents; his wife Etta Scott in 2011 and a brother, Dale Scott.

Survivors are three sons, Glen Scott and wife Jannette of Garfield, Billy Scott and wife Becky of Bella Vista and Johnny Scott of Jonesboro, Ark; one daughter, Belinda Mason of Garfield; a son-in-law, Jeff Mason of Garfield; eight grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.

Service is set for 10 A.M. Wednesday, May 6 at New Prospect Church in Garfield with Pastor Ron Shultz officiating. Arrangements are by Sisco Funeral Home in Pea Ridge. Burial will be in the Scott Cemetery. Visitation will be 6-8p.m. Tuesday, May 5 at the funeral home.

GARFIELD — Etta Louise Scott, 76, of Garfield, died Friday, Oct. 8, at her home. She was born Oct. 12, 1933, at Rogers, to Ralph Lee Stover and Lydia Catherine Cannady Stover.

She was a lifelong resident of this area graduating from Rogers High School. She married James Darrell Scott, May 9, 1953, and was a nurse's aide for 15 years. She was a member of New Prospect Baptist Church and is preceded in death by one great-granddaughter, Sydney Scott, and three brothers, Irman Stover, Harold Stover and Michael Joe Stover.

Survivors are her husband of 57 years, James Darrell Scott of the home; three sons, Darren Glen Scott and wife Jannette of Garfield, Billy Scott and wife Becky of Bentonville, and John Lee Scott of Rogers; one daughter, Belinda Mason of Garfield; one brother, Steve Stover of Florida; two sisters, Rosa Wise and Judy Jones both of Rogers; nine grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

Funeral service is set for 10 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 13, at New Prospect Baptist Church with Pastor Ron Shults officiating. Burial will be at Scott Cemetery near Gateway. Visitation is set from 5 to 7 p.m. for Tuesday, Oct. 12, at Sisco Funeral Home in Pea Ridge. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be sent to Bank of Seligman, c/o James Scott.
