On Saturday, October 17, 2020, at the Pine Hill Nursing Facility, God sent his holy angels and summoned Bro. Felton Purifoy from labor to reward, he was born on August 17, 1926, to late Louis and Gertrude Purifoy, he was the first of 13 children born to this union.

He united with Mt. Zion A.M.E. Church at an early age, where he served on the Trustee Board and wherever else he was needed. He later united with the Church of Christ on 347 Madison St N.E., Camden, Arkansas under the leadership of Bro Lonnell Herron, where he served until his health failed.

He was self-employed, in the Pulpwood Industry, he was also a WW II Veteran, after his discharge, he met and married Pearlene Thompson, the love of his life, to this union four sons were born.

His loving Wife, and first-born son, Henry Lee Purifoy preceded him in death.

Felton was an avid hunter, and fisherman, he loved the outdoors, he also loved gardening. he enjoyed seeing things grow.

Felton leaves to cherish his memories, three sons, Charles Lee Purifoy, Walter Purifoy (Debra)) and David Purifoy all of Camden, Arkansas.

Two sisters, and one brother proceeded him in death.

He leaves to cherish his memories six brothers, Lawrence Edward Purifoy of Kentucky; Louis Purifoy (Erma) Camden; John L. Purifoy (Gloria) Camden; Harry Truman Purifoy of Camden;

Lloyd Purifoy (Cynthia) of Corona, California. four sisters, Christine Yarbrough: Estella Wilson (Roosevelt) of Camden, Arkansas, Trudell O’ Field, of Mabelvale, Arkansas, Carrie Ashley (Charles) of Hot Spring, Arkansas 10 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
