September 14, 1881 - September 15, 1966
Marshall Ealum Purifoy, aged 85 of Camden died in the Ouachita Hospital at 1:45 a.m. Thursday. Mr. Purifoy, a retired farmer and sawmill worker was a lifelong resident of Ouachita County. He was a member of the Lakeside Methodist Church. He is survived by four sons, W. A. Purifoy of Hawkins, Texas, Marshall Purifoy, Woodrow Purifoy and Floyd Purifoy all of Camden; five daughters, Mrs. C. R. Burton, Mrs. Homer Carter, Mrs. J. W. Burnham, Mrs. J. O. Burton, and Mrs. C. H. Pennington all of Camden; four brothers, Arthur Purifoy of Louann, Andrew Purifoy of Illinois, Luther Purifoy of Camden, and Clarence Purifoy of Fontana, Calif.; three sisters, Mrs. Will Walker, Mrs. Annie Perry and Mrs. Dee Patterson all of Camden; 44 grandchildren, and 26 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Friday at the Lakeside Methodist Church. Burial will be in Lakeside cemetery by Proctor Funeral Home. The body will be lie in state at the Funeral Home.
