Raymond R. Purifoy, age 86, of Camden, died Monday, March 11, 2013. He was born November 27, 1926 to Roy and Susie Ellis Purifoy. He was a World War II Navy Veteran and retired after 34 years of employment from International Paper Company, Woodlands Division. Mr. Purifoy was a member of the Maul Road Church of Christ. He was an avid golfer and a loyal Razorback fan.

He is preceded in death by his wife of 65 years, Dorothy Jean Byrd Purifoy; daughter, Janet Purifoy Jordan; parents; and brothers, Winston Purifoy and Alton Purifoy. He is survived by his daughter, Connie Reddin and husband, Steve of Camden; grandchildren, Jacque Jordan Baker and husband, Michael of Emerson, Mark Jordan of Emerson, Caroline Reddin Butler and husband, Lance of Springfield, MO, Matt Reddin and wife, Kelly and Justin Reddin and wife, Autumn all of Little Rock; six great-grandchildren; and brother, James Louis "Percy" Purifoy and wife, Bette of Texarkana.

Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Tuesday at Proctor Funeral Home with burial in Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10-11 AM Tuesday before the service. Proctor Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials be made to the Maul Road Church of Christ.
