SILOAM SPRINGS - Oleta McGarrah, 73, of Siloam Springs, passed away Friday, Feb, 18, 2011, at the Washington Regional Medical Center in Fayetteville.
Oleta was born on July 6, 1937, in Gentry, Ark., a daughter of William Ralph Setser and Mabel Louella Cantrell Setser. She married Harlow McGarrah on Sept. 14, 1953, in Bentonville, Ark. Oleta and Harlow were farmers, and she worked for Simmons Poultry for many years in quality control. Oleta was a very hard worker who enjoyed flower gardening, being a seamstress and cooking. She was a member of the Jesus Name Assembly in Springdale.
Survivors include her husband, Harlow McGarrah of the home; one son, Robbi McGarrah and wife Paula of Siloam Springs; two daughters, Deborah Brown and husband Joe of Springdale and Vickie McCormick and husband Ken of Siloam Springs; one brother, Bill Setser of Springdale; four sisters, Mae Robertson of Bella Vista, Bertie Fisher of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Charlene Edwards and Linda Price bath of Springdale; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at the Backstrom-Pyeatte Funeral Chapel in Springdale at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 22. Pastor Joe Brown will officiate the service with burial being held at the Frisco Springs Cemetery.

SILOAM SPRINGS - Harlow Junior McGarrah, 85, of Siloam Springs, Ark., passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, June 28, 2020. Harlow was born Dec. 17, 1934, in Springdale, Ark., son of Edgar McGarrah and Pearl Grizzle McGarrah.
He was a widower of the late Oleta McGarrah, whom he married Sept. 14, 1953, in Bentonville, Ark., and preceded him in death in 2011. Harlow was a dedicated member of the Jesus Name Pentecostal Church. He worked as a farmer and at Benton County Road Department until he retired.
Harlow was also preceded in death by his sister and brother-in-law Geneva and Jack Bauer of Frisco Springs, Ark., and son-in-law Joe Brown of Springdale, Ark.
Harlow is survived by son Robbi and wife Paula McGarrah of Siloam Springs, Ark.; daughters Deborah Brown of Springdale, Ark., and Vickie and husband Ken McCormick of Siloam Springs, Ark.; sister and brother-in-law Erma Dean and Arnold Layne of Bentonville, Ark.; five grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and many loved ones.
Due to concerns of the covid pandemic, the family will hold a private funeral service at the Backstrom-Pyeatte Funeral Home Chapel in Springdale. Brother Robert Anderson will officiate the service. Burial will be at Frisco Springs Cemetery in Lowell, Ark., under the direction of the Backstrom-Pyeatte Funeral Home of Springdale.
