Police Identify Killed In Accident

Police identified a man killed Thursday in a Lowell accident as Gary Omer Bowen, 58, of Springdale. Bowen was eastbound on Monroe Avenue when he crossed the center line into oncoming traffic and struck another vehicle, according to an accident report.

The accident occurred near the intersection of Zion Church Road.

Bowen may have suffered a medical emergency before the accident, said Kris Spangler, an officer with the Lowell Police Department.

Robyn Stinnet, the driver of the other vehicle, was not critically injured, Spangler said.
