SPRINGDALE — Ernest Richard Bowen, 78, of Springdale died April 29, 2000, at Northwest Medical Center in Springdale. He was born Aug. 24, 1921, in Kingston to John William and Pearl Evelyn Eoff Bowen.

He was a cabinetmaker, an Army Air Corps veteran of World War II and a member of American Legion Post 230 at Kingston. He was a member of Phillips Chapel Free Will Baptist Church where he was a Sunday school teacher.

Survivors include his wife, Cleatus I. Burk Bowen of the home; one daughter, Linda Kay Berry of Springdale; two brothers, James J. Bowen of King City, Calif., and Clifford J. Bowen of Kingston; one sister, Gladys Bradshaw of Springdale; two grandchildren; three great-grandsons.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Brashears Funeral Home in Huntsville with Loy Counts and Berton Perry officiating.

Burial will be in Friendship Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Chanin Berry David Robinson, Jerry Robinson, Darrell Robinson, Ricky Robinson and Dennis Brown.

SPRINGDALE— Cleatus Irene Bowen, 86, of Springdale, Ark., died Feb. 17, 2013, at the Walnut Grove Nursing and Rehab Center in Springdale. She was born Oct 1, 1926, in Kingston, Ark., the daughter of Alva and Eliza Parker Burk.

She was a homemaker and a member of the Phillips Chapel Free Will Baptist Church in Springdale, Ark.

She was the widow of Ernest Richard Bowen, who preceded her in death on April 29, 2000. She was also preceded in death by one daughter, Linda Kay Berry; one great-grandson, Taylor Berry; and one great-granddaughter, Ashton Berry.

Survivors include one grandson, Chanin Berry of Springdale, Ark.; one granddaughter, Tiffany Straughan of Springdale, Ark.; three great-grandsons, Rebel Berry, River Berry and Ryder Berry, all of Springdale, Ark.; and three great-granddaughters, Dylan Trollinger, Syreena Davis and Shelby Straughan, all of Springdale, Ark.

Funeral services will he held at noon on today, March 2, in the chapel of Brashears Funeral Home with the Reverends Ben Gibson and Loy Counts officiating. Interment will be in Friendship Cemetery in Springdale under the direction of Brashears Funeral Home, www.brashearsfuneralhome.net, of Huntsville, Ark.

Pallbearers will be David Robinson, Darrell Robinson, Brian Robinson, Rick Robinson, Rebel Berry, River Berry, Ryder Berry and Bill Straughan.
