SPRINGDALE — Kenneth "Pa" Powell, 70, of Springdale, passed away Aug. 13, 2012, at Washington Regional Medical Center in Fayetteville.
He was born April 12, 1942, in New Miami, Ohio, to the late Roy and Estie Powell.
Kenneth served 23 years in the U.S. Navy and later became a carpenter. He enjoyed riding his Kawasaki motorcycle, spending time with his grandchildren, and especially fishing on the creek.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Carole Powell.
He is survived by three children, Carole Starr Palesotti and husband, Justin, of St. Augustine, Fla., Kenneth E. Powell Jr. of Little Rock, and Dawn Dossett and husband, Walter, of Springdale; brother, Leonard Powell; sisters Shirley Kolstadt and Judith Lynch, all of Ohio. He is also survived by five grandsons.
Services will be held 10 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 16, 2012, at Westfield Chapel Funeral Home in Springdale, with Perry Grimsley officiating. Burial will be 1 p.m. Friday at Friendship Cemetery.

SPRINGDALE — Carole Powell, 67, of Springdale, passed away June 13, 2012, at the Circle of Life Hospice Home in Springdale.
She was born June 5, 1945, in Columbus, Ohio, to the late Floyd Emmett and Betty Southall.
Carole was a member of the Wesley United Methodist Church in Springdale. She enjoyed playing bingo and spending time with her family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her father, Floyd Southall; stepmother, Bea Southall; and mother, Betty Snead.
She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Kenneth E. Powell; children, Carole Starr Palesotti and husband, Justin, of St. Augustine, Fla., Kenneth E. Powell Jr. of Little Ruck and Dawn Dossett and husband, Walter, of Springdale; siblings, Janet Kaiser of Grove City, Ohio, and Tad Southall of Saginaw, Texas. She is also survived by five grandchildren.
Visitation will be held today, June 15, 2012, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Westfield Chapel Funeral Home in Springdale.
Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Lakeview Baptist Church in Cave Springs, with Pastor Perry Grimsley officiating. Burial will follow in Friendship Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to Circle of Life Hospice.
