Mirl Cecil Powell, 77, of Springdale died Jan. 10, 1991, at Springdale Memorial Hospital. He was born Jan. 29, 1913, at Huntsville, the son of Claud E. and Molly McCoy Powell. He was a retired farmer and a member of Fishback Baptist Church.
Survivors include his widow, Bertha Davis Powell of the home; three sons, Junior Powell and Jerry Powell, both of Springdale, and Jim Powell of Siloam Springs; six daughters, Barbara Hall of Lincoln, Lois Satterfield, Doris Carter, Sue Ward and Marlene Robertson, all of Springdale, and Joyce Carr of Hindsville; two brothers, Roy Powell of Sulphur City and Thaxton Powell of Huntsville; one sister, Rema Ahart of Huntsville; 22 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.
Services were at 10 a.m. Monday, Jan. 14, at Sisco Chapel of Springdale with Curtis Counts officiating. Burial was in Friendship Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Coby Hall, David Carter, Rick Satterfield, John Powell, Eddie Powell and Shawn Powell.
