After a long illness extending over a number of years, A.B. Parker died yesterday morning at nine o'clock at his home on East Walnut street. He had been quite feeble for som time and his death was not a surprise to our people. His wife is quite low and it is feared the shock of her husband's death may prove fatal. Funeral services are to be held at the residence this afternnon at 2 o'clock and will be conducted by Rev. Anthony of the Christian church. Mr. Parker was born in New York October 30, 1825. He was married in 1846 at Marine, Ill. to Miss Marietta Gale. To them were born nine children, four of whom are still living: Mrs. E.M. Beetle, Watertown, S. Dakota; Porter G. Parker, Marine, Ill.; Mrs. Maria Miser and A.S. Parker of this city. The deceased came to Rogers twenty-two years ago and has at times been interested in various business properties. The family came from the same place in Illinois as a number of other families of Rogers and have many friends here.

Mrs.A.B.Parker died Monday afternoon at 2 o'clock at her home on East Walnut Street at the age of 89 years and ten months. Mrs. Parker was one of the oldest women in the city and had never fully recovered her health since a fall several years ago when she broke her hip. She lived with her daugther, Mrs. Wm. Misner. Funeral services were held at her home Tuesday afternoon at two o'clock and were conducted by Rev. J.P. Dillon. Margette Gale was near Albany, New York April 14,1822. She went to Illinois during childhood and was married there to A.B. Parker October 11,1846. To this union were born nine children and four of them are still living:Asa S. Parker, Rogers; Mrs. Marie L. Misner,Rogers; Porter G. Parker, Marine,Ill; Mrs. E.M.Beet-{at least one line in the newspaper item omitted} about six years ago. She leaves nine grandchindren and also three great-grandchildren. The family came to Rogers over 25 years ago. She united with the Christian church in the fortieth year of her life and lived a faithful member until the time of her death. During the long years of suffering she was ever patient and non complaining. She read her bible every day.
