PARKER, Franklin Russell - Franklin Russell Parker, son of Mr. and Mrs. C.M. Parker, died Monday noon at the home of his parents on South Second Street, the result of a short illness with pneumonia. Funeral services were held at the First M.E. Church Tuesday morning and were conducted by the pastor, Rev. Harris. Burial was in the Rogers cemetery. The deceased was born June 6, 1892 in Knox county, Ind. and was 19 years, 9 months and 13 days old at the time of his death. A friend hands us the following: During the brief history of his life he won his way into the hearts of his family and associates by his devotion to duty and his fidelity to principles. His loyalty to paternal care was a crowning virtue, often denying himself the pleasures of life to add to the comfort of those who watched over him in his infancy. He leaves a father, mother, three sisters and two brothers.
