PARKER, Geo. E. - Geo. E. Parker, living just east of Avoca, died of tuberculosis February 24th, aged 23 years and 9 months. He was born May 25, 1902 at West Fork, Ark. He was buried at Tuck's Chapel cemetery the 25th and owing to a misunderstanding of some kind, no funeral services were held. He leaves his father and mother, three brothers and four sisters to mourn their loss. Young Mr. Parker had been sick for over a year but bore up under his affliction with great fortitude and seldom complained. He was not a member of any church or order but said before he died that he was prepared to die. Ed Parker was well known to the writer and we can truthfully say we never heard anyone speak ill of him. He bore the reputation of being honest and true to his conviction. A younger sister, who died several years ago and was buried near the residence, was taken up and placed beside the brother. The family has the sympathy of the whole community.

PARKER, Alice - (from Avoca) Little Alice Parker, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Parker, died Tuesday at 12:30. Brain fever was the cause of her death and she was ill only a short time. Little Alice was a bright and loving child and will sadly be missed. Among the saddest thoughts was the fact that she leaves a twin brother who was her companion every where and at all times. We have no words to express our heartfelt sympathy for the bereaved parents, brothers and sisters.
