PARKER, Martha J. - Mrs. Martha J. Parker, wife of A.S. Parker, died Monday noon at her home in this city on North Third street. Mrs. Parker had been dangerously ill for some months past and her death was not un-expected by the friends and family. A stroke of paralysis last spring is sup-posed to be the original cause of her sickness. Funeral services were conducted by Rev. Anthony of the Christian church, from the residence, at ten o'clock yesterday morning. Deceased had been a resident of Rogers for the past twenty-two years, coming here from Illinois with her family shortly after Rogers was started. She was a member of the Christian church and was held in high esteem by her friends and neighbors. She leaves a husband and two children, Miss Alta Parker and Andy Parker, both of this city. Mr. Parker, we understand, was in Mena at the time of his wife's death.
