EVENING SHADE - Wilda Margaret Rush, 65,
of Evening Shade died Monday, Jan. 5, 2004,
at a Jonesboro hospital.
Born May 11, 1938, in Allegheny County, Pa.,
she was the daughter of Murray O.
Knappenberger Sr. and Retta Shellhammer
Knappenberger. She was a certified nurses
aide and had worked for the Area Agency on
Aging and Home Health. She was a foster
grandparent at Evening Shade School and a
member of the Maxville Missionary Baptist Church.
Survivors include her father of Cave City; four sons, Owen Wilson of Jonesboro, Wayne Wilson of Guion, Oliver Rush of Siloam Springs and Robert Rush of Buffalo, N.Y.; a daughter,
Elsie Jones of Rogers; three brothers, Murray
Knappenberger Jr. of Okauchee, Wis., Cecil
Knappenberger of Sulphur Rock and Paul
Knappenberger of Evening Shade; three sisters,
Sandra Stuntz and Veda Knappenberger, both of
Cave City and Goldie Goodman of Evening Shade;
four grandchildren; a great-grandchild;
and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her mother;
her husband, Amos Ray Rush; and a grandson,
Greg Wilson.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Friday at the Qualls Funeral Home Chapel in Cave City with
Don Vuncannon officiating. Burial will be in the Combs Cemetery at Melbourne.
Pallbearers will be Jason Stuntz, Harold Stuntz, Leo Qualls, Johnny Knappenberger, Bill Little and Henry Criswell.
Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday.
