Peal Carder Rush age 98 of Melbourne died Wednesday March 26, 2008 at the Pioneer Nursing and Rehab in Melbourne. She was born on February 14, 1910 to Elbert Baxter and Sadie Jane Forrest Carder in Violet Hill, Arkansas. She was a homemaker and was a member of the Belview Baptist Church in Melbourne.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Garland Rush; one grandson Bennie Hayden Blankenship; one brother Charles Cheatham; one sister Lola Tidwell and four step sisters Novella Gossage, Effie Lawrence, Bertie Knowles and Pearl Roddy.

Survivors include one son Wade Rush of Melbourne; two daughters Erma Collier of East Wenatchee and Melba Blankenship of Melbourne; eight grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be Saturday March 29, 2008 at 10:00 A.M. at the Belview Baptist Church in Melbourne with Bro. Dave Seaford officiating. Burial will follow the services at the Violet Hill Cemetery. No visitation is planned. Pallbearers will be Ronald Cheatham, Donald Cheatham, Zelph Rush, Marvis Sherrill, Delano Roddy and Loye Dean Lawrence.
