The Rev. E.A. Anderson Dies At 80
The Rev. Elmer Alfred Anderson, 80, of Shawnee, Kan, and a former Rogers resident, died Wednesday night at Shawnee.
He was born Oct. 1, 1891 near Goodland, Kan. He had lived in Shawnee the past two years. He served as pastor of Wesleyan Methodist churches in Iowa, Kansas, Arkansas and Missouri for more than 35 years. He pastored two churches in Benton County.
Surviving are two sons, Lowell Anderson of Shawnee and the Rev. Raymond Anderson of Topeka, Kan.; three daughters, Mrs. Ruth Bender of Riverside, Calif., Mrs. Lois McDonald of Accokeek, Md. and Mrs. Loren Pendergraft of Kansas City, Kan.; a brother, Herman Anderson of Concordia, Kan.; three sisters, Mrs. Anna Carlson of Burdick, Kan., Mrs. Clara Carlson of Burdick, and Mrs. Ella Ewer of Bentonville; 20 grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be at 2:30 p.m. Sunday at Sisco Funeral Home Chapel in Pea Ridge with burial in the Pea Ridge Cemetery.
