John H. Anderson, 81, Rogers, Route 4, died Friday at his home. He was born March 24, 1881, at Hindsville. He was a retired farmer and member of the Freewill Baptist Church. Surviving are the widow, Effie, of the home; four sons, Fate, of Hindsville, Jess, of Rogers, Doyle, of Buhl, Idaho, and John H., of Wichita, Kan.; eight daughters, Mrs. Verna Zivna of Pueblo, Colo., Mrs. Vesta Locke, Mrs. Helen Lynch and Mrs. Donna Mashburn, all of Rogers, Mrs. Elizabeth Prekell of Deer Creek, Okla., Mrs. Martha Todd of England, Mrs. Ernelia Solomon of Dallas, Texas, and Mrs. Vivian Todd of Cabot; 25 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Monday at Best with Rev. Johnny Lawson officiating. Burial was in the Austin Cemetery under direction of Callison Funeral Home.

Mrs. Effie Anderson, 91, Rt, 4, Rogers, died Jan. 12 in a Rogers nursing home. Born Sept. 1, 1883, in Madison County, she was a member of the Free Will Baptist Church.
Survivors include four sons, Fate Anderson, Hindsville, Jess Anderson, Rogers, Doyle Anderson, Buhl, Idaho, and Johnny H. Anderson, Wichita, Kan; eight daughters, Mrs. Verna Civna, Mrs. Vesta Locke, Mrs. Helen Lynch, Mrs. Donna Mashburn and Mrs. Martha Todd, Rogers, Mrs. Elizabeth Trekle, Deer Creek, Okla., Mrs. Tema Amelia Bacon, Fountain Valley, Calif., and Mrs. Vivian Todd, Cabot; one sister, Mrs. Clarinda Ellis, Rogers; 27 grandchildren, 47 great-grandchildren, five great-great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the Burk Shed Church with the Rev. John Lawson officiating, Burial will be in the Austin cemetery under the direction of Callison Funeral Home of Rogers.
