**obituary The White River Current, Calico Rock, Arkansas, August 27, 1992:

Phyllis E Miller of Mountain Home, daughter of the late John R. Steckey and Flossie P. Steckley died Sunday, August 16, 1992 at the Baxter County Regional Hospital.

Miller who formerly lived in Kalona, Iowa was born January 16, 1928 in Bayport, Mich. She was a homemaker and a foster mother for over 10 years. Miller was a member of the Emmanuel Church.

Survivors include her mother of Mountain Home, one son, Roland Miller of Newton, Kansas; two daughters, Bonnie Sue Montgomery and Donna Luann Miller both of Mountain Home; one brother, Donald J. Steckley of Northport, Flo.; one grandchild, several nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers were Sandy Jaeger, Connie Braksdale, Bonnie Kenny, Michele Bonner, Wanda Klein and Dasharma Clark.

Services were held at the Emmanuel Church on Thursday, August 20 at 9:30 a.m. Pastor Jerrel Venable was officiating. Memorials may be made to the Emmanuel Christian School Scholarship Fund.
