Miller Dies in Mobile Home Fire

Darvin Dale Miller was born in Washington, Iowa on November 4, 1959, departed this life at Harrisburg, Arkansas on March 16, 1980 at the age of 20 years, 4 months and 12 days.

He was a member of the Calico Rock Mennonite Church and was employed by the 3-W Construction Company of Harrisburg for the past 2 ½ years.

Survivors include: his father and mother, Russell and Phyllis Miller of Calico Rock, Ark.; 1 brother, Rowland L. Miller of Newton, Kansas; 2 sisters, Bonnie Sue Miller and Donna Miller, both of Calico Rock; paternal grandfather, Lawrence Miller of Kalona, Iowa; maternal grandparents, John and Flossie Steckley of Calico Rock, Ark.; Uncle and Aunt, Don and Kathy Steckley, 3 cousins, Janelle, Sue and John Steckley all of Midland, Mich.; a friend Anita Smith of Harrisonburg, Ark.; 26 foster brothers and sisters; a host of other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his grandmother, (Alta) Mrs. Lawrence Miller.

Funeral services were held March 18, 1980 at 2:00 p.m. at the Calico Rock Mennonite Church. Ministers in charge were Don Penner and George Eby. Interment was in the church cemetery. Howard Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. Pallbearers were Joe Misic, Ed Burkholder, Paul Schumann, Don Steckley, Johnnie Owens and Alan Ward.
