Floyd Miller, 83, of Calico Rock, Ark., died April 12, 2003. He was born Nov. 24, 1919, to Baldwin and Katie (Hochstetler) Miller at Protection, Kan. He and his family moved to the Pryor, Okla., area in 1928.

He married Beulah Slaubaugh of Wellman, Iowa, on Nov. 30, 1951, at the bride's home. On Dec. 1, 2001, they celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary at Bethel Springs Mennonite Church in Culp, Ark.

In his youth he accepted Jesus Christ as his Savior and followed the Lord in baptism and became a member of Zion Mennonite Church near Pryor, Okla.

During World War II he served almost four years in Civilian Public Service.

In 1955, he and Beulah moved to Culp and soon became members of Bethel Springs Mennonite Church. He was a faithful member until his death. He served as a minister for 16 years and dearly loved his Savior and the little country church.

Survivors include his wife, Beulah; a daughter, Brenda Weller and her husband, John, of Calico Rock; a sister, Fern Scheffel of Pryor, Okla.; three grandchildren; four great-grandchildren and five step-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by three brothers, Elmer, Lloyd (a twin brother) and Eli; a great-grandchild and a step-grandchild.

The funeral service was held at the Calico Rock Mennonite Fellowship. Burial was in the Calico Rock Mennonite Cemetery.

Beulah Evelyn Miller was born May 9, 1917 in rural Wellman, Iowa the daughter of W.H. and Naomi (Hooley) Slaubaugh. Beulah graduated from Goshen College with a BS degree in Education, where she became an elementary teacher for 6 years. On November 30,1951 Beulah was united in marriage to Floyd Miller. She was a member of the Bethel Springs Mennonite Church in Calico Rock, Ark. and attended the Wellman Mennonite Church. Beulah passed away Monday, June 29, 2015 at Parkview Manor in Wellman, at the age of 98 years.

Beulah is survived by her daughter Brenda (John) Weller of Pryor, Oklahoma; 3 grandchildren Connie (Rodney) Gray of Bellville, Texas, Chandra (Michael) Noviskie of Pretoria, South Africa and Christopher (Krystal) Marquez of Canutillo, Texas. 7 great grandchildren; Eluid Lopez, Naomi Gray, Nicole Gray, Charis Noviskie, Russell Noviskie, Lindsey Marquez, and Nathan Marquez, one great great grandchild Nathan Lopez. 4 step grandchildren, 15 step great grandchildren, a sister-in-law Marilyn Eash of Wellman, and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Floyd in 2003, 2 sisters; Emily Blosser and Helen Yoder, 2 brothers Donald and Dwight Slaubaugh, 2 step grandson Patrick Weller and Jeffrey Kalvig, great granddaughter Makena Marquez, great grandson Andrew Noviskie and a great great grandson Isaac Lopez.

Celebration of Life Service will be held 5:00 PM Thursday, July 2, 2015 at the Powell Funeral Home in Wellman.

Visitation will be from 4:00-5:00 PM Thursday, July 2, 2015 at the Powell Funeral Home in Wellman. Also funeral service will be held Monday, July 6 at 11 a.m. at the Mennonite Church in Calico Rock, Arkansas.

Burial will be at the Mennonite/Baptist Cemetery in Calico Rock under the direction of Eddie's Family Funeral Home. Visitation will be Monday, July 6 beginning at 10:00 a.m.
