Owen Miller Dies

Owen Miller of near Franklin died suddenly Monday morning about 11:30 and was laid to rest in the Fairview Cemetery near Violet Hill, services being conducted by Rev. B. F. Williams.

He had been suffering with severe attacks of headache, also bad carbuncles on each arm, but seemed to be feeling much better Monday morning and decided he would try to work some. He carried some water to his wife, who was hoeing cotton near the house and returned to the house a few minutes before time for his wife to quit work to cook dinner. By the time Mrs. Miller got to the house, he was complaining of his head aching terribly. She just got him on the bed when he breathed his last.

Mr. Miller was 54 years old, was reared near Zion, although most of his married life was spent near Violet Hill.

Besides his wife he is survived by an adopted daughter, Mrs. Owen Wiles, four brothers, G. H. of this place, Sam of Cushing, Okla., Oscar and Bill of Zion, and two sisters, Mrs. Kate Wiles of Melbourne and Mrs. Walker Brown of Sage.
