EVANS, Nellie - Miss Nellie Evans, who has been the Democrat correspondent for several years, died last Thursday at her home at Sedalia. She was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Pete Evans and was born at Sedalia, July 21, 1902. She received an injury to one of her limbs at school several years ago and last fall went to Kansas City and had the limb amputated but her health has never been good since and it is thought was the cause of her death. Funeral services were conducted Feb. 22 by Rev. G.C. Bland and the remains were laid to rest at the Woodruff cemetery southeast of Sedalia. Nellie was very popular among her young friends and will be sadly missed.
