Mrs. Eula H. Floyd
Dies Friday Morning
Mrs. Eula Henryetta Floyd, one of this section most highly esteemed women, died at her home near Brockwell, Friday morning, April 30. Her death climaxed an illness of several weeks. Had she lived until June 3, next, she would have been 77 years of age.
Mrs. Floyd was born in Georgia June 3, 1866, and moved with her parents to this county at the age of four, and remained a resident of this county the reaminder of her lifetime. She united with the Baptist church early in life and remained a devout Christian till summoned by death. Her life was one of unusual vim and activity until she suffer a break in health several months ago. Her kind and generous spirit endeared her to the many who kenw her true worth.
Deceased is surived by five sons, L.L., Grady and Hershel Floyd of Brockwell, C.H. Floyd of Wenatchee, WA and J.M. Floyd of Calico Rock and one daughter, Mrs Georgia Hodge of Willow, OK; also two brother, W.E. Owens of Union and Dean Owens of Elizabeth; forty-four grandchildren and twenty-two great grandchildren.
Funeral services, conducted by Elder J.M. Rush, were held Saturday afternoon. Interment being in Owens Cemetery. The Higginbotham Funeral Home was in charge of Arrangements.
Pallbearers were; J.W. Webb, J.A. Rodman, Pvt. Thurman Owens, Hugo Blakenship, Ernest Graham and Hubert McDonald.
