Bennie D. Floyd of Perris, California, son of the late Lindsey and Annie Morgan Floyd was born March 1, 1933 in Bandmill. He died on October 23, 2002, in Perris, California. He was 69.
During his working years, Mr. Floyd was a car salesman. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Perris, California.
Survivors include four daughters, Joanna Baxter and Rebecca Patterson both of Mt. Home, Beth Kratochvil of Dolph, and Stephanie Burrows of Riverside, California; three brothers, D.T. Floyd of Independence, Missouri, Wayne Floyd of Overland Park, Kansas and Demelee Floyd of Mt. Home; five sisters, Cassie Creighton of Batesville, Margie Eaton of Quincy, Indiana, Anna Floyd of Melbourne; Erma Guiltner of Brockwell; and Sharon Guffin of Memphis, Tennessee; one special friend, Gloria Hinson of Riverside, California; four grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and seven sisters.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 2, at 2:00PM at the Brockwell Tabernacle with Duane Flood officiating. Pallbearers will be Donnie Creighton, Brian Eaton, John Davis, Sam Giltner, Tim Floyd and Steve Floyd. Honorary pallbearers will be Kevin Creighton and Eric Creighton.
Interment will be at Owens Cemetery under the direction of Eddie's Family Funeral Home.
