Dan Murvin Clanton, age 84, of Greenville, MS. died Thursday, August 29, at Mississippi Care Center in Greenville, MS. Born August 10, 1929 in Bradley County, AR. a son of the late William Reuben Clanton and Juanita Hargraves Clanton he was a retired tool and die maker, a U.S. Army veteran, member of Harmony Baptist Church and the widower of Reba Cooper Clanton who died January 20, 2013. They were united in marriage May 10, 1952.

Survivors are 1 son Delton M. Clanton and spouse Kay, Greenville, MS. 1 brother Billy M. Clanton and spouse Lexie, Crossett, AR. 1 sister Nettie Frances Rainey, Crossett, AR. 1 grandson William Matthew Clanton and spouse Jessica, Greenville, MS. 1 great-granddaughter Emma Rylee Clanton, Greenville, MS. Several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, September 3, at Harmony Baptist Church in Greenville, MS. with Rev. Stephen Ramsey officiating. Jessica Clanton was soloist. Burial was 4:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 3 in Moseley Cemetery near Warren, AR. by Frazer's Funeral Home. Active pallbearers were Wylie Martin, Marvin Carlisle, Gary Whitt, Jimmy O'Brian, Jeff Walsh, Caleb Walsh and Billy Clanton. (Frazer Funeral Home - Warren, Arkansas)
