Daniel F. Clanton, 86, of El Dorado, formerly of Houston, Texas, died Wednesday, December 17, 2008, at Timberline Health Care in El Dorado.
Born August 19, 1922, in Vick, he was a son of the late Grover Cleveland Clanton and Frances Maude Holcombe Clanton.
He was a retire pipefitter for Petro Tech Chemical Co., member Local #1073, a Baptist, and the widower of Evelyn Ormand Clanton who died December 12, 2005. They were united in marriage in 1943 at Warren.
Also preceding him in death were brothers Ellis Clanton, Tyson Clanton, and Morrell Clanton.
Survivors are one sister; four sister-in-law; and several nieces and nephews.
Graveside services were December 19 at Oakland Cemetery in Warren with Rev. Wayman Mann officiating.
