He was born and died in Bradley County, Arkansas.Son of Zachariah Wallace Clanton and Susanna Emma (Johnson) Clanton; husband of Rosie Pearl (Walker) Clanton, married 20 January 1897 Bradley County, Arkansas. Children~Maymie Lee Clanton and Silas Tandy Clanton. Maymie died at about age 7 and Silas never married.
