Thomas L "Tommy" Daniels, 45 of Junction City died Wednesday morning while undergoing surgery in a Shreveport, La. hospital. He was a lifelong resident of Union County. Mr. Daniels had been chief deputy in the Union County Sheriff's office for the past three and a half years. He joined the patrol unit in the sheriff's office in 1956, having previously worked for the E and W Railroad. He was a past master of the Wesson Masonic Lodge No. 580 and was a member of the American Legion. Born in Wesson, he was the son of Mrs. John Daniels of 401 W. Cedar St. and the late Mr. Daniels. Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Myrtle Lee Daniels of Junction City; two sons, Ronald L. Daniels and Thomas Lynn Daniels, both of the home, and a sister, Mrs. Bill Castleberry of El Dorado. Funeral arrangements will be under the direction of Rumph Mortuary. (El Dorado Times - March 16, 1966)
