July 20, 1898 - April 12, 1968
Mrs. Quille Johnson, 68, of 540 Nelson Street died Friday in a local hospital following a brief illness. Born in Marion, Louisiana, July 20, 1899, she was the daughter of Carey and Emma Brown Clark. She was a member of New Bethel Baptist Church. Surviving are three sisters, Mrs. Minnie Burrell, Crossett, Mrs. Emma Barnes, Bastrop, and Mrs. Lizzie Dickerson, Camden, two brothers, Lee Rochell, Huttig, and Emmett Reynolds, El Dorado. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. in New Bethel Baptist Church with the Rev. J. F. Kelley officiating. Interment will follow in Lott Burgy Cemetery under the direction of Sims Mortuary. The remains will lie in state from noon until funeral time. No viewing after funeral time.
