Robert Claybourn Johnson, 85, formerly of Lake Providence and Monroe, La., died at his home in Beaumont, Tex. Saturday following a brief illness. Graveside services are to be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. with the Rev. David Shepperson officiating. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery in El Dorado under the direction of Broussard Funeral Home of Beaumont, Tex. Mr. Johnson was an Elder and member of the First Presbyterian Church in Monroe and a former general manager for the Koppers Co. of Denver, Colo. He was born Oct. 1, 1889 at Lodi, Miss., and was the son of Robert Luke Johnson and Willie Mitchell Johnson. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Augusta K. Johnson of Beaumont, Tex.; one son, Woodson Johnson of Bethesda, Md.; two daughters, Mrs. Celesta Holscher of Kreinmling, Colo. and Mrs. Sherry Wyman of Beaumont, Tex. and one brothers, J. L. Johnson of Lake Providence. (El Dorado News Times - December 1, 1974)
