Vernell Rainwater 75 of El Dorado passed away September 2, 2013.
She was born to Herman and Adell Lowery September 7, 1937 in El Dorado, Arkansas (Parkers Chapel Community). She was the manager at Chick-A-Dilly #1 for 27 years and retired April 2013. She was kind and generous person. Vernell was a wonderful daughter, mother, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, sister-in-law, mother-in-law, and friend. She will always be remembered as a Momma, Nana, Momma Jr. BunBun, Sister, and Vern.

Preceding her passing; her father, Herman Lowery; mother, Adell Hill Laster, step-father, James Laster, her sister, Dorothy Johns. brother-in-laws, G.W. Murray and Bill Johns.

She is survived by her daughters: Kim Thurlkill (Trent) and Leslie Cates (James), El Dorado, Ar.

Grandchildren: Lynzee Thurlkill (Josh Dumas);
Ashlee Raborn(Philip); Brandi White (Josh);
Marlee Thurlkill; Joe Neel (Sarah); and Rand Sinclair.
Great-Grandchildren: Coleigh White, Michael Raborn,
Jacob Neel, Amy Raborn, Brooklynn Neel, Dalton White,
and a baby boy Neel due in November, from El Dorado.
Sisters: Faye Murray (Texarkana, TX.), Margie Keck (Coy) Grenada, MS, brothers; Dwayne Lowery (Jo), Taylor, AR. ,Marlon Lowery (Alice) El Dorado, Ar. , Keith Lowery (Patti) Monroe, LA. and her former husband Leon Rainwater, El Dorado, Ar. She leaves a host of nieces and nephews and the family dog, Dutchess. She will be greatly missed by her Chick-A-Dilly #1 family.

Pallbearers: Rand Sinclair, Philip Raborn, Josh White, Josh Dumas, Michael Johns, Van Owens, Honorary Pallbearers: Lynzee Thurlkill, Ashlee Raborn, Brandi White, Marlee Thurlkill, Joe Neel, Sarah Neel.

Visitation is Thursday, September 5, 2013 from 6pm-8pm at Perry’s Funeral Chapels.
Funeral Services will be Friday, September 6, 2013 at 10am at Perry’s Funeral Chapels with Rev. Monroe Hill officiating with burial to follow at Old Parkers Chapel Cemetery.
