Joshua Vaughn Rainwater, 32, of San Antonio, Texas, formerly of El Dorado, passed away on April 2, 2020.

He was born on July 23, 1987 to Jerry Rainwater Jr. and Karin Young Rainwater in El Dorado. Joshua accepted the Lord at a very young age and was a long-time member of Second Baptist Church of El Dorado. He was also an Eagle Scout. Upon finishing High School Joshua went to LSU where he received a Bachelors Degree in International Business Management. While in college he worked at the LaQuinta Inn as a Front Desk Clerk and so began his love for the Hospitality Industry. During the twelve years that he worked in the Hospitality Industry he held a number of positions from Front Desk Clerk to his present position, Director of Front Office Operations. Joshua had a passion for the industry which drove him to work hard and achieve his goals. In his spare time, he loved riding motorcycles with his friends. Joshua was a very giving person who loved to touch the lives of others and was able to do so by being an Organ Donor.

Preceding him in death are his grandparents, Jerry Rainwater Sr., Colleen Rainwater, and Ernst Young Jr.

Survivors include his parents, Jerry Rainwater Jr.and Karin Young Rainwater ; grandmother, Elizabeth Young; and many uncles, aunts and cousins.

Due to COVID-19 Regulations a Private Family Graveside will be held Old Parkers Chapel Cemetery officiated by Bro. Jason Yarbourgh under the direction of Perry’s Funeral Chapels.

Memorial Donations may be made to Cross Life Church and/or One Community Church.
