A G Rainwater, 85 of El Dorado, passed away, Monday, November 9, 2015, at the John R. Williamson Hospice House. He was born June 24, 1930, to Gussie Thurman and Amy Dell Davis Rainwater in El Dorado, AR.
Before his retirement, he was a self-employed master electrician; he served 22 years in the National Guard, and was a member of West Side Baptist Church.
Preceding him in death are his parents; his wife Jean Rainwater; and grandson, Joshua Rainwater.
Survivors include his two sons, Rick Rainwater (Melissa), Scotty Rainwater (Sylvia); three brothers, Julius Rainwater (Marian), Jerry Rainwater (Colleen), Leon Rainwater (Helen) all of El Dorado; four grandchildren, Ryan Rainwater (Kristi), of El Dorado, Kyle Rainwater (Jodie) of Bentonville, AR, Amy Bradshaw (Luke) of El Dorado; Seth Rainwater (Becky) of El Dorado; and seven great grandchildren, McKenzie and Ayden Rainwater, Gracie Rainwater, Jake Rainwater, Gabby Bradshaw all of El Dorado, and Eli and Silas Rainwater of Bentonville, AR.
Visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Thursday, November 12, 2015, at Young’s Funeral Directors.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, November 13, 2015, at Young’s Chapel with Rev. Gerald Perry officiating. Burial will follow at Parkers Chapel Cemetery under the direction of Young’s Funeral Directors.
