Lincoln — Fred Oren Watson, 63, of Lincoln, died Sunday in a Fayetteville hospital. Born Jan. 21, 1908 at Dutch Mills, the son of Albert and Lou Fields Watson, he was a Baptist.
Survivors are the widow, Mrs. Jessie Carrington Watson of the home; two daughters, Mrs. Carol Avis and Mrs. Earline Copeland, both of Fort Smith; his mother of Westville, Okla.; three brothers, Ben of Bakersfield, Calif. and Bill and Albert of Lincoln; three sisters, Mrs. Auda Brannon of Stilwell, Okla., Mrs. Mary West of Siloam Springs and Mrs. Frances Jones of Albuquerque, N.M. and seven grandchildren.
Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Lincoln Baptist Church with burial in White Rock Cemetery under direction of Luginbuel Funeral Home.

ALMA — Jessie C. Marie Watson, 100, a resident of Alma, passed away Sept. 1, 2012, in Alma. She was born July 9, 1912, in Cane Hill, the daughter of Thadeus Jasper and Bertha Green Carrington.
Jessie was a former resident of Lincoln, and a lifetime member of the First Baptist Church of Lincoln. She was an inspiration to her family and friends and was a living testimony to all.
She was preceded in death by her parents, stepmother, Nettie Agnew Carrington, husband, Rev. Fred Oren Watson, three brothers, Earl, Lester, and Ernest (Buddy) Carrington; one sister, Mabel Pearson; one grandson, Jackie Earl Copeland and son-in-law, Jackie Leon Copeland.
Survivors include two daughters, Earlene Copeland of Van Buren, and Carole Avis of Fort Smith; seven grandchildren, Carvel Avis and wife Jenny, Caressa Avis, Craig Avis and wife Jeannie, Chris Avis and wife Jamie, Cathy Cullen and husband Bill, Caren Copeland, Leon Copeland and wife Shannon; 15 great-grandchildren; eight great-great-grandchildren; two nieces, Kay Ashworth and husband Jerry, and Linda Carrington.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, Sept. 5, 2012, 11 a.m., at the Luginbuel Chapel, Prairie Grove, with Brother Earl Adams officiating. Burial will be at White Rock Cemetery, Dutch Mills.
Pallbearers will be grandsons and great-grandsons: Carvel Avis, Craig Avis, Chris Avis, Lean Copeland, Josh Copland, and Dillon Elkins.
Memorials may be made to the White Rock Cemetery Association in care of Simmons Bank in Lincoln, Ark.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Luginbuel Funeral Home of Prairie Grove, Ark.
