ALLEN, Nathan C. - Nathan C. Allen, aged 84 years, died Tuesday morning at the home of his son, W.C. Allen, northwest of Hiwasse. He had been ill for some time. He had lived in the Hiwasse community for 60 years. Burial will be made in the Daniel Cemetery. Mr. Allen was a native of Indiana. Four sons and five daughters survive him.

Nathan Allen, 85 years old, pioneer citizen of the county, died on February 25th, 1930 at the home of his son, Wesley Allen, near Hiwasse. Funeral services were held last Thursday afternoon and burial was in the Mount Pleasant* cemetery. He was the father of 15 children, 10 of them now living, including Wesley Allen, Mrs. Warren Kerr and Mrs. Dalsy Puryear, all of Hiwasse; Mrs. Robert Howard and Mrs. Cary Richardson of Pittsburg, Kan.; Bert Allen and George Allen of Fortescue, Mo. and Mrs. Ollie Hamilton and Ray Allen of Colorado.

ALLEN, Sarah Elizabeth STORM - Sarah Elizabeth Storm was born in Shelby Co., Ill. on Nov. 27, 1851. Departed this life at the home of her daughter, Mary Howard, on June 8, 1923, age 71 years, 6 months and 12 days. She was married to N.C. Allen on Sept. 26, 1869. To this union were born 15 children, 9 boys and 6 girls. The 5 eldest, all boys, dying in infancy. The living children are: Mrs. C.J. Richardson of Jane, Mo.; Mrs. R.E. Howard, Mrs. J.R. Puryear, Mrs. J.W. Kerr, W.C. Allen and D.R. Allen, all of Gravette; Mrs. Lot Banks and G.C. Allen of Hiwasse; Mrs. T.M. Hamilton of Cheraw, Colo. and B.N. Allen of Norborne, Mo. All of whom excepting B.N. Allen were with their mother during her last hours on earth. Besides these children and her husband she leaves to mourn her departure 21 grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, three sisters and many other relatives and friends. She united with the Church of Christ at about the age of 16 years and has lived a splendid christian life. Burial was held at Panill Cemetery. Services were conducted by Rev. O.T. Wilson of Anderson, Mo. at the Mt. Pleasant church. A Friend.
