The one year old boy baby of Robert Allen, a merchant of Avoca, on Tuesday morning over turned a kettle of boiling water and its contents were poured on the child, completely cooking the flesh. Dr. Rice, of this city, was called at once but nothing could be done and the child died at 8 o'clock Tuesday evening.
