BENTONVILLE — David Lynn Allen, 84, of Bella Vista died Saturday, May 25, 2019, at Circle of Life Hospice in Bentonville, Ark. He was born on April 6, 1935, in Dodge City, Kan., to Nathan and Lela Allen.

He married Doris (Kelley) Allen on Aug. 21, 1955. Dave worked for Northern Natural Gas 22 years before opening his own fast food restaurant in Lyons, Kan., and retired from the Appraisers Office in Reno County (Hutchinson), Kan. After retirement, Dave and Doris moved to Bella Vista in 2001. Dave was a member of Forest Hills Church of Bella Vista, a member of the church choir, a board member and volunteer at Helping Hands in Bentonville.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include his wife, Doris Allen; sons, Kelley Allen, Barry (Debbie) Allen, Bruce (Gail) Allen, Brent (John Gioia) Allen; brother, Robert Allen; sister, Nathela Crooks; five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at Forest Hills Church Saturday, June 1, 2019, at 11 a.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Circle of Life, 1201 N.E. Legacy Parkway, Bentonville, Ark., 72712.
