Bearden, Oct. 4 - John Lee Arnold, age 73 died at his home here early Saturday morning. He was a life long resident of Bearden. He is survived by his step mother, Mrs. Alice Arnold of Bearden and three brothers, Jess and Dave of Bearden and Will Arnold of Camden; Three sisters, Mrs. Carrie Douglass of Little Rock; Miss Florence Arnold and Mrs. Odem Castleberry of Bearden; His wife Dora Arnold, and four sons, Bernice of Bishop, Calif., Boyd of Rison, J. W. of Memphis, Tenn. and H-A 2c Dick Arnold U.S.M.C., and one daughter, Mrs. Harvel Morrison of Compton, Calif. and 5 grandchildren. Active pallbearers were nephews of Mr. Arnold and honorary pallbearers were; Rich Hill, Lee Burleson, Frank Culp, Cecil Gammell, Bud Young, Frank Roark, Watt Jordan, Thomas Gatling, Will Bradford, and Lewis and Lowell Doherty. The funeral was held at the Bearden Methodist church. Monday at 2:30 p.m. with the Rev. T. D. Spruce. Burial in Moss Cemetery with Benton Funeral home of Fordyce in charge.
