Joseph G. Arnold, age 77 years, died at the home opf his son, H. Doyle Arnold of Sparkman, Saturday night at 11:55 p.m. He was a former Bearden resident. He is survived by two sons, H. Doyle of Sparkman and John H. of Camden, four brothers, Dave, Jess and Lee of Bearden and Will of Camden. Three sisters, Miss Florence Arnold of Bearden, Mrs. Odum Castleberry of Eagle Mills, Mrs. Gleason Douglas of North Little Rock and two grandchildren. Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at 3:30 p.m. at the First Baptist Church in Bearden with Elder John Everette of Camden and Rev. John L. Smith of Sparkman officiating. Burial in Moss Cemetery near Bearden with Proctors Mortuary in charge. (Camden News - September 6, 1948)
