Retha M. Morrison, 73, of Rogers passed away Jan. 10, 2007, in Springdale. Mrs. Morrison was born Dec. 22, 1933, in Havana, the daughter of Grover C. Earls and Vila Bell Earls. She and her husband, Lawrence were farmers in Danville before moving to Rogers. She was a member of Lakeside Baptist Church in Rogers and enjoyed church activities, fishing, sewing and cooking. She was preceded in death by her brother, Arlan Earls.

She is survived by her husband, Lawrence Morrison of the home, they were married Feb. 27, 1954, in Bentonville; her son, John Morrison of Springdale; her daughter, Janet McClure and husband Bill of Springdale; two brothers, Robert Earls and wife Elaine of Danville and Ronnie Gene Earls and wife Terry of Jennings, Okla.; three sisters, Meril Flemming and husband Bill and Helen Adams, all of Sand Springs, Okla., Brenda Vestal of Mount George; two grandchildren, Rachel and Katie McClure, all of Springdale; sisters-in-law, Kenneth and Dorothy Ocheltree and Wayne and Connie Prophet, all of Rogers; and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Monday, Jan. 15 at Lakeside Baptist Church with the Rev. Scott Hill officiating.

Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday at Benton County Funeral Home in Rogers, online at www.bentoncountyfuneralhome.com. Burial will be in Ruddick Cemetery in Garfield.

Pallbearers will be Pete Hummel, Mark Goucher, Larry Council, Rick Miller, Homer Means and Bobby Joe Solley.

ROGERS — Lawrence Morrison, 84, of Rogers, passed away surrounded by his family Jan. 29, 2019, in Bentonville. He was born Sept. 26, 1934, in Garfield, the son of John Oliver and Lourine Clemetine Marler Morrison.

Lawrence worked in Danville for 30 years at a chicken farm and for Dr. Pepper Company of Tulsa He was a member of the Lakeside Baptist Church and served in the Army.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Retha Earls Morrison and his son, John Douglas Morrison.

He is survived by his daughter, Janet Morrison Francis of Rogers; sisters Dorothy Ocheltree and Connie Prophet, both of Rogers; two granddaughters, Rachel and Katie McClure, and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services 1 p.m. Monday, Feb. 4, 2019, at Benton County Funeral Home, 306 N. Fourth, Rogers. Interment with military honors by the Rogers VFW Post in the Ruddick Cemetery, Garfield. Visitation Sunday 2 to 4 p.m. at the funeral home. Online condolences to www.bentoncountyfuneralhome.com.
