*Obituary
Benton County Democrat
Thursday, May 23, 1895
MORRISON, Johnnie - Little Johnnie Morrison, the only son of Jas. A. and Mrs. P.E. Morrison, was born January 5th, 1885 and died Jan. 13th, 1895. Little Johnnie was the pride of the house and seemed to be by nature religiously inclined. His superintendent offered a prize to the boy who would use the money he gave him in the best way. Johnnie gave his to the missionary cause and won the prize, which was a Bible. This lay very near him in his sickness and when he died, he died with the Word of God in his hand. What a beautiful lesson for all of us. He was buried with his little Bible in his hand and I am quite sure that he is now in glory, where, though young, he can know and appreciate every word in the book. Jesus is his teacher. May the Lord bless the bereaved relatives and sustain them by his grace and help them to so live that they may meet little Johnnie in the skies. His pastor, W.P. Hamilton.
