GENTRY — Virgil "Buzz" Ernest Cox, 73, of Gentry died Nov. 9, 2008, at his home. He was born April 15, 1935, in Big Rapids, Mich., to Donald J. and Mary Clark Cox.
He was a veteran truck driver and member of the Turner Baptist Church in Springdale. He served in the United States Air Force.
Survivors include his wife, Martha Cox of the home; two sons, Steve Cox of Muskegon, Mich., and Scott A. Cox and wife Cathy of Gentry; four daughters, Vickie Wikman and husband Bruce of Muskegon, Mich., Ruth Scheynbrie and husband Carl of Muskegon, Mich., Rhonda Lieberenz and husband Don of Amarillo, Texas, and Yvonne Mitchell and husband Ronnie of Conway; one sister, Barbara Beigley of Muskegon, Mich.; 14 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Sisco Funeral Chapel of Springdale.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home with Mark Mceuen and Larry Hendren officiating.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, 3291 S. Thompson Suite D104, Springdale, AR 72764.
