GENTRY — Martha Marie Cox, 79, of Gentry passed away Dec. 17, 2013, at Mercy Medical Center in Rogers. She was born Dec. 8, 1934, in Cullman, Ala., to George Francis and Stella Maudine Waugh Smith.
Martha was a secretary and a member of Victory Baptist Church in Gentry. She enjoyed bowling and playing games with her family.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Virgil (Buzz) Cox; five brothers; five sisters; and her great-grandson, Jeremiah Engleman.
Survivors include one son, Scott Cox and wife, Cathy, of Gentry; two daughters, Rhonda Lieberenz and husband, Don, and Yvonne Mitchell and husband, Ronnie, all of Amarillo, Texas; one sister, Dorothy Rickles of Cullman, Ala.; 10 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren, with one great-grandchild on the way.
Funeral services will be today, Dec. 20, 2013, at 2 p.m. at Victory Baptist Church in Gentry, with the Rev. Larry Hendren and the Rev. Dennis Taylor officiating.
Burial will take place later at the Fayetteville National Cemetery.
