SPRINGDALE — Jackie Wayne Cox, of Springdale, passed away on Sept. 19, 2015, at his home. He was born Jan. 6, 1942, in Manila, Ark., the son of Jack N. and Virginia (Miley) Cox.

He is survived by his wife, Linda Cox, of the home; his sons: Sam Cox of Kingston, Ralph Cox of Pea Ridge, Johnny Williams, of Rogers, Gary Williams and Jerry Groom both of Springdale; his daughters: Patricia Gunderson and Betty Porcher both of Roswell, N.M., and Connie Williams of Springdale; one sister, Sara Smith, of Huntsville; 21 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

Jack was a man that loved horses, fishing and hunting and was a cowboy at heart. He had a wonderful sense of humor and had the ability to make his family laugh and see the funny side of life. He was a man's man but at the same time could be tender and caring about the people that he loved and those that loved him.
