Mae Elizabeth Sims White, 86, of Mount Pleasant, Arkansas died Wednesday,
December 19, 2012 at Pioneer Nursing Home in Melbourne, Arkansas.
She was born May 23, 1926 in Lunenburg, Arkansas and was the daughter of
Henery Sims and Hardie Haney Sims.
Mae enjoyed flower and vegetable gardening, farming and spending time with
her family.
She was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include two sons, Ernest White of Mount Pleasant and Leo White of
Melbourne; two daughters, Ernestine Winsted of Van Buren, Arkansas and
Brenda Shaver of Lake Jackson, Texas; two grandchildren, Shelly Medlock of
Mount Pleasant and Clayton White of Melbourne; a great-grandchild, Sadie
Medlock of Mount Pleasant; two brothers, Delbert Sims and Corbit Sims both
of Wenatchee, Washington; two sisters, Edith Fellers of Cashmere, Washington
and Eula Duncan of Pleasant Plains, Arkansas; and several nieces and
nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Elvis White; four
brothers, Homer Sims, Hubert Sims, Cleo Sims, and Troy Sims; and a sister,
Virgia Ledford.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, December 22, 2012 at
Roller-Crouch Chapel in Melbourne with Kenny Tharp officiating.
Burial will be at Reeves Cemetery near Guion by Roller-Crouch Funeral Home
of Melbourne.
Pallbearers are Chey Carter, Wade Cooley, Randall Massey, Jerry Lynn Massey,
Casey Shaw and Jerry Medlock. Honorary pallbearers are Gene Barnett, Wilson
Ring and Delbert Johnson.
Visitation is from 5:00-8:00 p.m., Friday, December 21, 2012 at
Roller-Crouch Funeral Home in Melbourne.
