Calvin White, 66, of Melbourne died Thursday, Dec. 28, 2000, at a nursing home in Sidney.
Born Aug. 23, 1934, in Guion, he was the son of Harvey and Gussie Tinkle White in Guion. He was an orchard worker most of his life and was of the Pentecostal faith.
Survivors include his wife, Daisy McCormack White; two sons, John and Steven White, both of Wenachee, Wash.; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Elvis White and Eldon White, and two sisters, Wanda Lou Gulley and Elvie Kirk.
The funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Pinecrest Church near Guion with Billy Mack Jones officiating. Burial will follow in the Reeves Cemetery near Guion.
Pallbearers are Keith Grimes, Chuck Smith, Carl Shaver, Ronnie Burns, Cecil Engelhardt and Jerry Blankenship.
Honorary pallbearer is Dale Peterson.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 tonight at the Howard Funeral Home Chapel in Melbourne.
