Well Known Citizen Dies Near Oxford
John White, about 75 years of age, died at his home, three miles northwest of Oxford, Wednesday afternoon, after an illness of several week. He was one of the best known citizens of this section, where he spent the greater part of his life.
The funeral was held Thursday afternoon, burial being in the Oxford Cemetery.
Survivors include his wife; six sons, Troy and Charlie White of Calico Rock, Jack White of Wenatchee, Wash., Pvt. Darcy White with the armed forces in Italy, Pvt. Robert White, serving in the South Pacific and Pvt. Wm T. White, stationed in California and two daughters.
