July 22, 1931 - April 30, 2019
Royce "Bill" Jones, 87 of Powhatan, died Tuesday April 30, 2019 at Walnut Ridge Nursing and Rehab.
He was born July 22, 1931 in Swifton, AR to Rufus Jones & Mary Hatfield Jones. Bill was a loving husband, father, grandfather, & great grandfather. His loss is felt by the people's lives he touched throughout his long career. He was operated Jones Wrecker service for over 50 years before retiring. He was a member of the Church of Christ.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Liz Jones; daughter, Pam Baker; and grandson, B.J. Jones.
He is survived by daughters, Joyce (Frank) Brewer of Strawberry, Paula (Pete) Nielsen & Toni Foster all of Ooltewah, TN; son, Billy Ray (Melanie) Jones of Powhatan; son-in-law, Darryl Baker of Walnut Ridge; 12 grandchildren; and 22 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be Thursday May 2, 2019 from 11:30AM-1:00PM at House-Gregg Funeral Home in Walnut Ridge.
Funeral services follow at House-Gregg at 1:00PM with Bro Harold Russell officiating.
Interment will be in Powhatan Cemetery under direction of House-Gregg Funeral Home of Walnut Ridge and Lynn, AR.

POWHATAN — Mary Jones, 70, of Powhatan died Friday, Aug. 31, at the Regional Medical Center Burn Unit in Memphis.
Born at Swifton, she was a homemaker and attended the Church of Christ.
Survivors include her husband, Royce "Bill" Jones of the home; one son, Billy Ray Jones of Forrest City; three daughters, Paula Nielson of Duluth, Ga., Toni Foster of Powhatan and Pamela Baker of Walnut Ridge; six grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her twin brother and a grandson.
Active pallbearers will include Warren Williams, Heith Russell, James Russell, Kevin Burkhart, Neil Persful and J. Dub Russell.
Honorary pallbearers include Trinity Persful, Shea Persful, Leslie Foster, Khristian Foster, Anthony Baker and Ashley Elizabeth Baker.
Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Monday in Powhatan Cemetery with Dale Hughart officiating. Emerson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Visitation will be from 6-8 today at the funeral home.
Lasting memorials may be made to the Jesse Turner Burn Center in Memphis.
